Introducing Clark Lewis as NRU Club Liaison Officer.

"I am originally from Wellsford and have been at Sport Northland for the past 3 years in an Energize Role.  This involves working alongside Teachers and Children in Primary Schools to improve children’s physical activity and nutrition, and ultimately to improve their overall health, while helping schools achieve their education outcomes.

"I have a passion for health and fitness (Les Mills Certified Fitness Instructor in 4 programs), people and of course rugby so it was a natural fit to eventually become part of the Northland Rugby Whanau.

"Having been a Player, Sponsor and Treasurer of a Rugby Club, I understand the hard work and dedication from the Volunteers in the successful running of a club and with that, comes many challenges an different dynamics of people working together for a common passion which is Rugby.

"In my role as CLO, I will be working to build strong and healthy relationships with all rugby clubs within the union through provision and advice, assessment, guidance, planning, providing initiatives with a key objective being to strengthen rugby, within our region.

"I look forward to working alongside your club and providing any support I can.  Northland is a beautiful place with an abundance of Rugby Talent across all ages so if we can all do our bit to get and keep them on that rugby field through the grades, that is a great thing for our game in tai tokerau!”
